ST. LOUIS PUBLIC RADIO MID-DAY HOST/ANNOUNCER Ė PRODUCTION SPECIALIST

Full-time Midday Host/Announcer- Production Specialist to research, plan, develop and prepare to announce relevant information that informs and engages the listener and advances the stationís mission and service. Operate broadcast console and other related broadcast, recording and editing equipment. Strong understanding of current events and issues related to the region and world, and ability to incorporate the information into the on-air presentation. The ability to effectively tie-in timely content and information that is available on the stationís website and other platforms. Work with morning newscaster to engage the audience through social media platforms. Conduct taped or live interviews for broadcast or use on various other online platforms that include St. Louis Public Radioís website. Assist with live or recorded broadcasts that may include music performances. Participate in station development and promotional functions. Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelorís degree in communications, broadcasting or related area, and a minimum of two years hosting experience is required. Successful previous Public Radio hosting, digital editing and audio/recording engineering experience is desirable. Candidates for this position must meet STLPRís standard of conversational on-air delivery, and excellent writing skills.
