Q. How long will it take for my benefit item to arrive after I pledge?

A. Benefit items generally arrive six to eight weeks after your pledge has been processed. If it has been more than eight weeks, please contact us and we will review your membership record to confirm and expedite its delivery.

Q. Is my KWMU membership or other contribution tax-deductible?

A. Your contributions to KWMU, The Friends of KWMU and the University of Missouri - St. Louis are tax deductible to the extent that tangible benefits are not received in return. You must subtract the "fair market value" of any benefit items you receive. If you chose to receive one of our membership benefit items, the fair market value of items offered are as follows: Mugs $6, T-Shirts $15, Sweatshirts $20. Please call the KWMU Membership Office at (314) 516-5968 during business hours if you have any questions about tax deductions or your membership investment.

Q. Does KWMU sell or exchange its members' names with other organizations?

A. To assist in building membership, KWMU regularly exchanges names and addresses of its members with other non-profit organizations. If you do not want your information shared, please email kwmu@kwmu.org or call KWMU at (314) 516-6488.

Q. Will I automatically receive a membership benefit item?

A. No. If you did not request an item when you spoke with our staff or volunteer or selected one online, then KWMU will not send one.

Q. Why did I receive my renewal notice before my expiration date?

A. Renewing your membership prior to its expiration date helps ensure you don't miss any issues of the KWMU quarterly program card, "The Guide." Many KWMU members prefer to pay their membership as part of their monthly bills, so the early notice can easily be incorporated into their household's budget planning. Whenever your payment is received, your membership is extended one year from the end of your current anniversary date.

Q. How can I arrange a personal on-air message?

A. Contact KWMU member services at membership@kwmu.org or call (314) 516-6488 and let us know that you would like a day sponsorship.
(Minimum level is $365).
